TitleEntry
Bookstore Inventory

Catalogue your bookstore stock without the manual data entry

When books come in, they need to be catalogued before they can be listed or shelved. TitleEntry handles the data entry for you.

Bookstore shelf of incoming stock

If you are typing titles and authors by hand, or copying data from a search engine into a spreadsheet, that is time you are spending on admin instead of selling.

How it works for a bookstore

01

Scan the barcode

Point your phone at the ISBN barcode. The book cover loads on screen and every piece of metadata fills in automatically - title, author, publisher, year, ISBN, genre. You do not type anything.

02

Review and edit

Check the result on screen before saving. If the match is wrong, correct it inline. If a book has no barcode or the barcode cannot be found in any database, add the details manually and move on. Nothing gets stuck.

03

Export when you are ready

Download your full catalogue as an Excel file in one click. Use it to list stock online, adapt it for whatever inventory system you run, or keep it as your own record. The file is standard format and works with any spreadsheet tool.

For shelves with no accessible barcodes

Not every book in a used bookstore has a readable barcode. Older stock, foreign-language books, books published before ISBNs existed - a barcode scanner gets nothing from these. The AI bookshelf scanner photographs the whole shelf and reads the spine text to identify books. Point your phone at a shelf of old stock, take a photo, and the books appear as a list. Same export at the end.

Shelf management for stock that moves

Once your books are catalogued, TitleEntry lets you manage the list. Move books between shelf locations, delete stock that has sold, and keep your catalogue accurate as inventory changes. You do not have to rescan from scratch when shelves get reorganised.

Built for high-volume stock

TitleEntry works for bookstores processing a large volume of incoming books. The barcode scanner handles individual books as they come in, one at a time. The AI shelf scan covers shelves of books photographed at once. See our guide to book cataloguing software for how this compares to other tools. Get in touch and we will talk through what your volume looks like and how TitleEntry fits your workflow.

TitleEntry has also built specific support for Turkish books - Turkish ISBN sources, correct character handling throughout - if your stock includes Turkish titles.
